Ty Lawson Injury: Updates on Denver Nuggets Guard’s Heel

It appears that the Denver Nuggets will be without Ty Lawson for tonight’s game against the Sacramento Kings. 

The news came from Benjamin Hochman of the Denver Post, who tweeted:



The Nuggets are riding an incredible 14 game winning streak and hold a record of 48-22.  They currently hold the No. 3 seed in the Western conference. 

Meanwhile, the Kings have had a rough season.  They have a record of only 25-44 on the season, and are currently over 11 games out of the playoffs.



Lawson will miss only his third game this season.  He’s been an important player for this team, leading the Nuggets with 16.9 points and 6.9 assists per game, all while shooting 45.8 percent.

The loss of their star player could be trouble for the Nuggets’ win streak.  Andre Miller will likely start for Lawson, averaging 9.4 points and 5.9 assists per game.

It will be tough to get to 15 straight wins, but the Nuggets will have to do it without Lawson.  They only have a .5 game lead on the Los Angeles Clippers for the No. 3 seed, so winning this game is more importan ...
