Ty Lawson Comments on Rumors of Rockets Buyout

It was revealed on Friday that the Houston Rockets have had talks with point guard Ty Lawson about a possible buyout, according to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.

Lawson, though, who is a free agent after this season, told Feigen on Saturday that he doesn't want to go anywhere. 

"I like the city, I like my fans. I mean, I like my teammates. It's a good fit. I want to be here," Lawson said. "I'm just happy here. My role, I'm going to keep playing hard every day. I'd rather stay here."

He's happy despite putting up career lows in points, field-goal attempts and percentage on a Rockets team that has been dysfunctional at times this season. 

After 11 games, Houston fired head coach Kevin McHale and recently tried to trade center Dwight Howard. It was revealed on Thursday that All-Star guard James Harden "pushed" management to fire McHale and deal Howard, which was affecting the locker room, according to CBS Sports' Ken Berger.
