Twas The Day Before Christmas: Los Angeles Lakers Vs. Miami Heat

Twas the day before Christmas, Santa is firing up the sleigh and settling into his seat. He wants to be back in the North Pole early this year, just in time for the Lakers vs. the Heat.

St. Nick will be delivering bicycles and Barbies, teddy bears and basketballs, but this Christmas Day showdown will be the best gift of them all.

Miami has been scorching hot of late, with a record of 22-9. Winners in 13 of their last 14 games, they are peaking at the right time.

Los Angeles has recently stumbled after losing on Tuesday to Milwaukee. Even with the return of Andrew Bynum, it has not been the least bit pretty.

The Heat will look to score in transition, that is when they are at their best. The Lakers want to play half-court basketball and put Miami’s high-flyers to rest.

Pau Gasol vs. Chris Bosh, LeBron and D-Wade against KB24, but it will be the benches that ultimately determine the final score.

The Lakers are the defending champs, but Miami has seized the spotlight. May the best team emerge victorious in this Christmas Day delight.
