Toronto Raptors Report: Season Review

The Raptors season can be summed up into two words–only if. Only if this team could have kept play well after the all star break, only if Chris Bosh didn't have to get injured twice in the stretch run, only if Chris Bosh didn't miss that lay-up against Golden State, only if Bryan Colangelo didn't sign Hedo Turkoglu to a huge contract. Only if. The list goes on and on.

The Raptors missed the playoffs for the second straight year, and its disappointing. Not because they missed the playoffs, but because this team had so much potential. There was a point where everything was going well, they were in fifth and had so much momentum going into the all star break. Then disaster struck.

This team was in complete free fall and Chris Bosh's huge year (contract year) was gone to waste. They missed the playoffs by a mere game. If somebody asked you at the all star break which team were most likely to come in ninth, it most definitely wouldn't have been the Raptors. But, they finished 40-42, and in ninth place.
