So Chris Bosh leaves...surprise, surprise... We might never know the exact circumstances, but I would be utterly shocked if this "hook-up" was not planned during the All-Star break, if not earlier. All these years Bryan Colangelo tried to build around the franchise player Chris Bosh, which was a bed of nails for him. Bryan Colangelo is a smart GM if nothing else. He might anticipate his likely departure last season and might put together a team according to that vision. Of course, this sounds more like a fantasy than anything. In any case, Chris Bosh's timely departure is turning out to be a blessing in disguise. Now the team can have a real offensive system and a defensive presence.
