San Antonio Spurs star point guard Tony Parker left the floor during an April 7 game against the Oklahoma City Thunder with tightness in his Achilles.

Parker Exits With Achilles Injury vs. Thunder Tuesday, April 7 The Spurs announced that Parker would not return for the second half of tonight's game against the Thunder due to tightness in his right Achilles. 

Parker was bothered earlier in the 2014-15 NBA season with a minor left hamstring strain, but that wasn't of too much long-term concern. The hope is that this latest ailment is of similar severity and doesn't put Parker's foreseeable future at risk.

Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich is used to moving his rotation around as it is.

Between Parker, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili, Popovich has three aging players who make up the championship nucleus of this San Antonio squad. The priority is to rest them whenever necessary, so Parker is simply creating a void that will force other Spurs to step up.

With the playoffs on the horizon, Parker's health is certainly a concern moving forward.
