Tom Thibodeau Will Be Chicago Bulls Head Coach, Bulls Fire Back at Dwyane Wade

Sam Smith of the Chicago Tribune is reporting that he has heard of a deal—the deal that will make Tom Thibodeau the next head coach of the Chicago Bulls.  Neither side will confirm nor deny.  The reported deal will be for three years.

Thibodeau has confirmed that no announcement, one way or the other, will be made during the NBA Finals.

Meanwhile, Bulls GM Gar Forman has fired back on Dwyane Wade’s attack on the Chicago club from last week.

Wade’s comments, as reported by Fred Mitchell of the Chicago Tribune, questioned the loyalty of the organization towards its former players:

“I think the biggest question that you think about has to be loyalty,” said Wade, a Richards grad who added he has been a Bulls fan for a long time.

“I know one thing about Miami: It is a very loyal organization. I see what they do with their players when their players get done with the game of basketball…how loyal they are. I don’t know about the Bulls.”
