Timofey Mozgov Injury: Updates on Lakers Center’s Eye, Mouth and Return

Los Angeles Lakers center Timofey Mozgov has not played since he suffered injuries to his eye and mouth on Tuesday against the Indiana Pacers. It is unclear when he will return to the court.

Mozgov Out vs. Hawks Wednesday, Nov. 2 Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News reported Mozgov will not play against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.

Mozgov Injury Details Revealed  Tuesday, Nov. 1 Mozgov was diagnosed with a left eye contusion after getting hit in the face, according to Medina. Earlier, he had fallen hard and suffered a laceration on the inside of his mouth, which required sutures after the game, according to Mike Trudell of the Lakers' official website. 

He had six points and five rebounds before exiting. 

Mozgov Enters New Season as Key Piece to Lakers  Despite suffering a tailbone injury during the preseason, Mozgov has been fairly durable in recent seasons. He played 76 games last season for the Cleveland Cavaliers, 81 games in 2014-15 for Cleveland and the Denver Nuggets and a full 82 games in 2013-14 for Denver.
