NBA legend and current Detroit Pistons assistant coach Tim Hardaway was charged with drunken driving in April, according to newly released court documents.

Hardaway Arrested for Drunken Driving in April Tuesday, Aug. 23 Per Jermont Terry and Derick Hutchinson of Local 4 in Detroit, Hardaway was pulled over near his Beverly Hills, California, home and found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.17, which is more than twice the legal limit.  

"We're aware of the situation, but we're not going to comment any further on it," a Pistons spokesperson told Terry and Hutchinson.

Hardaway's attorney said he and his client are "working towards a resolution" in the case to potentially avoid trial.

According to Terry and Hutchinson, Hardaway's driving privileges are currently limited.

The 49-year-old Hardaway played for the Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets and Indiana Pacers during his lengthy NBA career, and he has been an assistant for the Pistons since 2014.
