Tiago Splitter Injury: Updates on Hawks Forward’s Hip and Return

Atlanta Hawks forward Tiago Splitter is currently dealing with a hip injury. It is uncertain when he will return to the court.

Splitter Ruled Out for Monday's Game Monday, Feb. 1 Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution passed along a quote from Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer regarding Splitter's hip: “We are evaluating his hip and figure out the best things we can do to help with some hip pain. We’ll continue to monitor and hopefully alleviate it. … It’s something we’ve been dealing with, managing, all year."

Vivlamore confirmed Splitter would not play Monday against the Dallas Mavericks.

Splitter is further building up his reputation of being a fragile player. In his first six seasons in the NBA, Splitter has played in more than 60 games just once. He's also already missed seven contests with hip concerns and four games with a calf injury earlier this season.
