The Mood Changes: Marc Stein, Chad Ford and Other ESPN Rumors Are Complete Lies

Here we are, eight games into an 82-game season, and the proverbial crap has hit the fan. 

No, I'm not talking about the Sacramento Kings' 3-5 record. I'm talking about the deluge of negative press that has been shot at the Kings from multiple sources. From the local fish wrap it is expected, but why exactly does Chad Ford or Marc Stein, both of ESPN, even have the Kings on the radar?  Your guess is as good as mine.

Chad Ford began the noise Nov. 1 with this piece. Here are the highlights, in case you missed the piece:

Sources close to the Kings tell me that Cousins has earned his reputation for being difficult. Several players on the team have complained privately about his attitude and he’s already butted heads with assistant coaches in practice.

I can't with 100-percent accuracy tell you who "sources close to the Kings" are, except to confirm that it is certainly not The Purple Panjandrum.

On Nov. 12, ESPN’s Marc Stein dropped two comments regarding the Kings into the Weekend Dime in which he continues the thoughts of Chad Ford on DeMarcus Cousins with this:
