The City Of Cleveland Vs. Lebron James: Really, It’s Over

The word is out from ESPN, from Miami, from James himself: Cleveland needs to get over the departure of LeBron James.

LeBron James left for Miami* and now we’re all sitting up here, burning jerseys, praying for injuries, wandering around aimlessly because our sports world has crumbled.

We can hardly get out of bed in the morning, from the grief and anger. We shake our fist at the idea of James playing for the Heat. We tear at our clothing.

Isn’t that the perception from outside this area? That if you as much as speak James’ name that we all go into fits of rage?

Are you ready? Ready?

None of the above is true.

Oh, I’m sure the heads on ESPN would beg to differ. After all, they have video of his jersey being burnt! PROOF!

Congratulations to ESPN for following the television journalism protocol that has been in place for the last 20 or 30 years, and finding the most ridiculous people to put on TV and then representing it as the whole.

They do this with race and they do this with politics. All of the time. Why? It’s more interesting than the average person.
