The Boston Celtics Ready to Make Another Run at The NBA Title

Yeah, yeah, we all know how the 2009-10 NBA season ended for the Boston Celtics.

Game Seven between the two most storied franchises in NBA history. With the pain from that loss the Celtics and their management took no time to sulk, or moan about a tough loss.

Instead, they did the exact opposite and got down to business in getting this team ready for another championship run.

The first order of business was to persuade Coach Doc Rivers to give the title another shot and stay with the team.

Rivers’ presence is what keeps the team together, without him the will to win is somewhat lost. General Manager Danny Ainge understands this and had all of the Celtics priorities in order.

Next up would be to re-sign the face of the franchise in Paul Pierce, and the pure shooter in Ray Allen.

Without Pierce and Allen the Celtics would lose their team captain and veteran leadership which are needed to make a serious run at a NBA championship.

The Celtics lost their valuable sixth-men Tony Allen to the Memphis Grizzlies and Rasheed Wallace to retirement (although I think Wallace will return for the second half ...
