Everyone loves a full-proof guarantee. When the 2010 McDonald’s All-American game is played March 31st at the Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio basketball devotees will drool at the court lined with 24 of the most promising High School Seniors in the nation. The full-proof guarantee they are looking for? Since 2000, every MVP or Co-MVP of the game is currently on an active NBA roster. In the case of Tyreke Evans and Derrick Favors, the winners in 2008 and 2009, respectively, they are still attending college. 20 of the top 25 players in ESPNU’s “Class of 2010” will be playing in this game. The remaining four are still in the top 100. The nation’s top prospect, Harrison Barnes will play for the West, as well as the third prospect, Brandon Knight. Tristan Thompson (#10) will also play for the West, along with Josh Smith (#11), Terrence Jones (#13), Patric Young (#14), Fabricio Melo (#20), Cory Joseph (#21), Jereme Richmond (#23), and Doron Lamb (#25).
