The Brooklyn Nets are set to enter the 2016 NBA draft without a first-round pick, but that could change if they are able to move power forward Thaddeus Young in a trade.

Report: Nets Shopping Young for 1st-Round Pick Thursday, June 23 According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, Brooklyn is looking to deal the 28-year-old veteran potentially to a Western Conference team in a move that would involve a first-round selection coming back in return.

Young averaged 15.1 points and nine rebounds per game while shooting 51.4 percent from the field in what was a career season for him in 2015-16.

He was one of the lone bright spots in what was an otherwise miserable season for the Nets, and trading him away would leave them with little aside from center Brook Lopez.

Brooklyn is very much in the midst of a rebuild, however, and since Young is set to make an average of $13.5 million over the next three seasons, per Spotrac.com, clearing that salary off the books is likely a priority.
