Atlanta Hawks wingman Thabo Sefolosha's preparations for the 2015-16 season will be interrupted beginning Oct. 5 as his trial stemming from an April incident in New York City gets under way, according to ESPN.com's Ian Begley.

Sefolosha Trial Set for Oct. 5, Pero Antic Case Dropped Wednesday, Sept. 9 Sefolosha and former Hawks teammate Pero Antic were arrested outside an NYC nightclub in April, and while Sefolosha will have to face the charges against him, Antic's case was dismissed, per Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Per Vivlamore, Sefolosha was charged with obstructing governmental administration, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Begley noted Sefolosha rejected an offer for a conditional dismissal, opting for the trial.

The 31-year-old native of Switzerland also broke his leg during the arrest, which caused him to miss the remainder of the 2014-15 campaign. He subsequently blamed the police for the injury.
