Take Away His Crown: Tyreke Evans Must be Suspended by the Kings

The Sacramento Kings must suspend their best player Tyreke Evans for at least 10 games.

According to a Fox Sports article, Evans has pleaded no contest to reckless driving. He's also had his license suspended for 30 days, has three years of informal probation, 80 hours of alternative sentencing and he must participate in two different California Highway Patrol programs.

The scary part is that Evans had been clocked between 120-130 miles-per-hour! Yet, the punishment for his no contest plea was a slap on the wrist. With that being said, the more troubling news from the story is that he was suspected of racing another car.  

This situation is similar but far worse than what Josh Howard did in 2008 while a member of the Dallas Mavericks. The major difference between the two was the speed at which the two were racing. 

Regardless of what Howard did and what his punishment was, Evans needs to be made an example of. Not only for the Kings organization, but for the NBA, as well as their fans.
