Nick Friedell of ESPN.com noted the power forward was taken out with a rib contusion that "has been bothering him for a few games" and confirmed he would not return.

Gibson, 30, has been a solid contributor for the Bulls this season, averaging 8.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 26.7 minutes per game as of Tuesday.
