Gibson Ruled Out for Remainder of Tuesday's Game Tuesday, March 29  Gibson played 10 minutes during Tuesday's contest before being removed. Nick Friedell of ESPN.com noted the power forward was taken out with a rib contusion that "has been bothering him for a few games" and confirmed he would not return.

Gibson, 30, has been a solid contributor for the Bulls this season, averaging 8.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 26.7 minutes per game as of Tuesday.

He's also been forced into starting duty for a large portion of the 2015-16 season after spending much of his career as a reserve player with the Bulls, as injuries ended Joakim Noah's season and cost Nikola Mirotic a chunk of his campaign.

Furthermore, Mike Dunleavy and Jimmy Butler have also missed time, making it nearly impossible for the Bulls to get into a rhythm this season or establish an identity under new head coach Fred Hoiberg.
