Steve Kerr Says He Would Rest Everyone ‘If He Had Any Guts’ vs. Spurs

The NBA's two best teams will square off Saturday night, as the 62-6 Golden State Warriors head to Texas to take on the 58-10 San Antonio Spurs. 

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr considered resting his star players, but he decided against it, per Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle. 


"If I had any guts, I'd sit everybody," Kerr said Friday after revealing that center Andrew Bogut "probably won't play." Bogut suffered a strained toe against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday. 

The Warriors will be playing for the second straight night on Saturday. It will also mark their ninth game in 14 days. They are just 10 wins from tying the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls' all-time mark of 72 wins in a single season.

Pulling up on the reins now and resting Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson wouldn't sit well with basketball fans who want to see the Bulls' record fall. 

Assuming both teams play their stars, this will be a fantastic matchup. The Spurs are 34-0 at home in 2015-16. If the Warriors grind out a win on the road, it would prove to the league that the Spurs can be beaten ...
