Steve Kerr Comments on Recovery From Back Surgery, NBA 3-Point Contest, More

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr joined KNBR 680's Murph & Mac radio show in San Francisco on Wednesday morning and spoke about his return to the bench, the NBA Three-Point Contest and other matters.

Kerr, who missed the first 43 games of the regular season due to complications from offseason back surgery, said of his recovery, "I feel good. The rest was great," per the Bay Area News Group's Diamond Leung.

As for the aforementioned All-Star Weekend shootout between Warriors Splash Brothers Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, Kerr's wishes about the thrilling exhibition ultimately came true.

"Don't tell Steph, but I was rooting for Klay-Steph, 1-2. I want them to trade off every year," he said, per KNBR host Brian Murphy.



So far, that trend is alive, as Curry won the Three-Point Contest last year and Thompson got the best of him this year in a magnificent duel.

For all the deserved attention Golden State's backcourt garners, dynamic forward Draymond Green has also been instrumental to the squad's 48-4 record to date, not to mention its championship run.
