Stephen Curry Should Have Stayed for His Senior Year at Davidson

The more I think about Stephen Curry, the more I believe he should have stayed in college for another year at Davidson. Curry was drafted as the seventh pick overall in the 2009 NBA draft by the Golden State Warriors.

Before his junior year at Davidson, Curry switched from shooting guard to point guard in hopes to attract more NBA interest because at 6-3, Curry was definitely too short to play the shooting guard position.

So, Curry was just learning how to play the point guard position when he entered the draft. If Curry had stayed another year would it have hurt his draft position?

Most likely not—in fact, it probably would have bettered his position.

Even before the season started, Monta Ellis voiced his displeasure about Curry playing alongside of him. It wasn't that Curry was a bad player in Ellis' mind; it's because of the height disadvantage the Warriors would have with both of them in the lineup.

Now with the injuries mounting to the Warriors, it has brought the starting lineup in the backcourt for the Warriors to be Curry and Ellis. The problem is that Curry has been inconsistent all year.
