Both Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry know the NBA Finals are far from over despite the Golden State Warriors' 2-0 series lead.
After the Warriors' 110-77 Game 2 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, Curry noted his team still needs to take two more games in order to capture its second straight championship, via NBA TV:
"It's a trap to think we've got things figured out and we have the perfect formula to beat Cleveland," the two-time MVP said, per Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News.
Thompson added that he and his teammates will not get a warm reception at Quicken Loans Arena when the Finals move to Cleveland for Game 3 on Wednesday, per NBA on ESPN: "The fans in Cleveland aren't that nice, but that's all right. That's what makes it fun."
Thompson also threw in a subtle jab at his dad, Mychal, when the conversation shifted to the Warriors' place in NBA history. According to the Los Angeles Times' Mike Bresnahan, the shooting guard argued his team is better than the Showtime Los Angeles Lakers of the 1980s, on which his father played for five seasons.
