Stephen Curry Hopes Cavaliers’ Visiting Locker Room Still Smells Like Champagne

As much as the Golden State Warriors love playing at home, Stephen Curry and company will be looking forward to going back to Cleveland's Quicken Loans Arena on Monday night.

In fact, The Q may be the Warriors' favorite opposing arena to play at—because it brings back such great memories.

Golden State captured its first championship in 40 years last June by defeating LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in six games. While it would have been ideal to win the Finals at Oracle Arena in front of the hometown crowd, the Warriors were just happy to wrap up the series as quickly as possible.

The Cavaliers and the Warriors met back on Christmas Day, with Golden State pulling an 89-83 victory on its home court. Now, the two teams will be meeting in Cleveland on Monday for the first time since the 2015 NBA Finals ended, and Curry is looking forward to bringing back memories of the championship celebration. 

"Obviously, walking in the locker room, it'll be good memories," Curry told Diamond Leung of Bay Area News Group on Sunday. "Hopefully, it still smells a little bit like champagne."
