Stephen Curry Comments on Potentially Making 400 3-Pointers This Season

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry won't be denied if he comes close to approaching 400 three-pointers this season.

"If I get to 399 [three-pointers], I will chuck," he said Monday, per Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle. "That's the only thing I can guarantee."  

The reigning MVP needs 22 more made threes over the Warriors' final five games to reach the benchmark.

Curry already occupies the top three spots for most made three-pointers in a single season. He broke his previous record in a 121-118 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Feb. 27.



He has 1,569 made threes and counting over the course of his seven-year NBA career, which is enough to single-handedly beat two Hall of Famers:



As long as he stays healthy and plays in each of the Warriors' last five games, Curry should be able to hit 400 threes this year. He's making 5.1 a game, and keeping up that pace would put him at a little over 403 when all is said and done.
