Detroit Pistons rookie Stanley Johnson suffered a shoulder sprain on Monday during his team's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. It is uncertain when he will be able to return to action.

Johnson to Be Re-Evaluated in a Week Wednesday, Feb. 24 The Pistons announced that an MRI confirmed the diagnosis of a shoulder sprain, adding that Johnson will undergo rehab and be examined next week.

Johnson Has Shown Flashes of Promise in Rookie Season Johnson played 22 minutes and scored 10 points off the bench in the victory before the injury.


Johnson was rated as the top 2-guard in the 2014 high school class, according to 247Sports' composite rankings. He lived up to that label as a one-and-done leading scorer at the University of Arizona, which led to his selection at No. 8 overall in the 2015 NBA draft.
