Spurs Tie All-Time NBA Record for Most Home Wins in Regular Season

The Golden State Warriors ensured the San Antonio Spurs wouldn't go undefeated at AT&T Center this season, but the Western Conference's No. 2 seed was able to overcome Sunday's 92-86 loss to the defending champions and make history. 

Matched up Tuesday against an Oklahoma City Thunder team that rested Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka, the Spurs slipped past the West's No. 3 seed, 102-98, in overtime to tie the 1985-86 Boston Celtics for the best home record in league history.    



"You know, it's one of the legendary teams with Larry Bird, (Kevin) McHale and (Robert) Parrish," Spurs point guard Tony Parker said, according to the Associated Press (via ESPN.com). "So it's pretty good. It's not easy to lose one game the whole season (at home)."

The Spurs trailed by 16 points midway through the second quarter, but they bounced back to outscore the Thunder, 31-19, in the third frame to take a two-point lead entering the game's final stanza.
