Spurs’ Kawhi Leonard Confirms He’s New Member of Jordan Brand Family

Kawhi Leonard isn't going to stop rising until he's on the top. 

The San Antonio Spurs small forward broke out in a big way throughout the 2013 playoffs, emerging as a potential star when he went head-to-head with LeBron James in the NBA Finals, and now he's reaping the benefits, per Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News:



In fact, the Brand Jordan family is such a special club that, according to Spurs Nation's Mike Monroe, Leonard and the new rookie members (Victor Oladipo, Otto Porter and Cody Zeller) are joining a group that features eight NBA All-Stars, led by Chris Paul. 

Monroe also reveals another reason that this is such a special move for Leonard: He's an Air Jordan aficionado.



Not only has he been wearing the shoes ever since he left San Diego State and joined the ranks of the Association, but he also has a collection of the premier Nike sneakers in his closet. NiceKicks.com's George Kiel III also wrote that Leonard has spent the last two years trying "his best to coordinate some of the hottest sneakers with the Spurs' subtle color scheme."&nbs ...
