Spurs Have 13 Players Record a Point, Assist and Rebound in the Same Game

In Friday's 119-85 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, the San Antonio Spurs became the first team in NBA history to have 13 different players record a point, assist and rebound in the same game, per ESPN Stats & Info.

The feat, while substantial in its own right, is made all the more impressive by the fact that just two weeks ago the Spurs became the first team in league history to have 13 players record an assist in one game. The first record-setting performance also came in a blowout win, with the Spurs having beaten the Cleveland Cavaliers by a score of 122-101 on March 4.

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich makes such records possible by utilizing a deep rotation and carefully managing his starters' minutes, but the Spurs players deserve some credit of their own.

While Matt Bonner may not be a factor once the playoffs begin, he's played some meaningful minutes this season, and the same goes for each of the other 12 Spurs who took part in Friday's record-setting performance.
