Sorry New Orleans, but the City of Seattle Really Wants Your Basketball Team

Last night in Oklahoma City some salt was once again poured into the festering wound of Seattle basketball fans.

Because of the ineptitude of local officials in the city of Seattle and the inaction of state government in Washington state, the state of Oklahoma celebrated their first professional playoff victory last night over the Los Angeles Lakers.

I could be the typical bitter Seattle basketball fan and rag on the state of Oklahoma, the players, the fans, ect, but I won't. We know the travesty that happened two years ago, we know how Seattle feels, we know how the rest of the country is apathetic to our plight.

Enough is enough and this now a time for action.

The New Orleans Hornets are available and talks with the most likely person to buy them have fallen through.

I'm not sure what has happened with discussions between George Shinn and Gary Chouest, but they are currently at an “impasse” and Shinn is looking for other potential buyers for the Hornets.

This is where Steve Ballmer, Jim Sinegal and John Stanton need to step in.
