San Antonio Spurs vs. Phoenix Suns: Live Score, Highlights and Reaction

February 28th, 2015 by Andy Bailey Leave a reply »
The San Antonio Spurs used a smothering defensive effort to beat the Phoenix Suns, 101-74 on Saturday at the US Airways Center.

San Antonio held Phoenix to fewer than 20 points in each of the first three quarters. The Suns had just 41 points on 20 percent shooting entering the fourth. 12 minutes of garbage time was the only thing that made the score somewhat respectable.

Offensively, the Spurs were led by Kawhi Leonard, who scored 22 points on 9-of-18 shooting to go with his 10 rebounds.

Danny Green, Boris Diaw and Aron Baynes all pitched in with 12 points apiece.

The Suns were led by Marcus Morris, who scored 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting off the bench.

Phoenix's next game will be on the road, against the Miami Heat on Monday at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Spurs will be home against the Sacramento Kings, Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. ET.
