San Antonio Spurs Tie NBA Record with 6 Straight Home Playoff Wins by 15+ Points

The San Antonio Spurs have matched an NBA record by winning six consecutive home playoff games by at least 15 points, per ESPN Stats & Info. The record-tying win came Wednesday night, when San Antonio beat the Oklahoma City Thunder by 35 points for the third-largest margin of victory in franchise playoff history, per NBA.com/stats. 

The Spurs didn't look the part of a powerhouse in the first round, going to seven games with the eighth-seeded Dallas Mavericks in what was admittedly a tough matchup. Something clicked in Game 7 of that series, as the Spurs cruised to a 119-96 victory behind 32 points from Tony Parker.

A Western Conference semifinals dismantling of the Portland Trail Blazers came next, with the Spurs needing just five games to finish off the season's most improved team. San Antonio lost Game 4 by a score of 103-92 but won the other games by margins of 24, 17, 15 and 22 points.
