Joakim Noah had 23 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and five blocks, Taj Gibson added 19 points off the bench and the Chicago Bulls held off the Sacramento Kings, 94-87, on Saturday night.
This was a very tight game throughout, with the final score equaling the Bulls' largest lead of the contest.
It was an ugly affair, too.
Chicago won despite shooting just 39.7 percent from the floor, overcoming a dreadful 1-for-11 outing by Jimmy Butler.
The Kings hit on only 36.5 percent of their shots, nullifying their 55-40 edge on the glass. Sacramento also went only 2-of-14 from three-point range and missed 14 free throws.
Isaiah Thomas led the Kings with 26 points and DeMarcus Cousins registered a double-double with 25 points and 14 boards. He added four steals.
Gibson made numerous huge plays down the stretch for the Bulls, including a key offensive rebound that led to two free throws and then a corner jumper to put Chicago up 90-85 with 42.2 seconds remaining.
Gibson hauled in nine boards (five offensive) in 27 minutes.
