Ryan Anderson Injury: Updates on Pelicans Forward’s Groin and Return

New Orleans Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson will miss at least one game while he nurses a groin injury.

Anderson's been battling injuries the past few seasons, and the Pelicans have been deprived of watching their offense operate at full strength for extended stretches as a result. 

A season-ending neck injury cut Anderson's 2013-14 season short after 22 appearances, and although he returned for the start of the following campaign, the stretch 4 missed 21 games due to an MCL sprain during the 2014-15 season. 



This season, Anderson's averaging 17 points on 42.7 percent shooting from the field and 36.6 percent shooting from three. 

New Orleans is now extremely pressed for depth at the 4 with Anthony Davis also out due to left knee and shoulder injuries, but Dante Cunningham isn't a bad substitute option.
