Artest is a player that has never shied away from the limelight.

When Ron Artest announced that he was going to change his name to Metta World Peace was it something that people thought was out of character?

No, it really is not something out of character. But the meaning behind it is.

Ron Artest is known by many as the man that jumped into the stands and started assaulting a fan while he was playing for the Indiana Pacers.

It is a moment that will forever directly contradict the man who is known as Metta World Peace.

Artest sees the name change as a way to send a positive message to the world.

It is a great thought but Metta needs to remember that actions speak louder than words. While the man formerly known as Ron Artest is sending a message that will be heard around the world no one will fully believe him until he speaks through actions.
