Rockets’ Josh Smith Gets Booed in Return to Detroit

Houston Rockets veteran Josh Smith returned to Detroit for the first time since getting cut by the Pistons earlier this season, but it wasn't the warmest of welcomes.

As he ran onto the court for the first time Saturday, Smith was greeted by a vast majority of boos at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

The boos were likely due to the fully guaranteed four-year, $54 million contract the Pistons signed Smith to before the 2013 season. Smith was cut this season, but the team is still obligated to pay him for the entire value of the contract.
