Report: Stephon Marbury To Play in China for Three More Years

Stephon Marbury went to sign a fat contract in New York with the Knicks. Yet he never lived up to expectations and went on to play for the Boston Celtics. After a decent year, the Celtics wanted to re-sign him but at the veteran’s minimum.

Apparently, that didn’t work out so well, so Marbury went on to play in China. Marbury played well in China. After a good year there, he was receiving interest from the NBA again, most notably the Miami Heat. Marbury declined.

Now, according to the Associated Press, Marbury has agreed to a deal to play in China for three more years. Along with that, his Starbury shoes and clothing will be sold in China and become more popular over there.

The 33-year-old point guard played 15 games for the Shanxi Zhongyu of the Chinese Basketball Association. He played successfully and quickly became a fan-favorite player in the city of Taiyuan.

Marbury looks to do a lot of good in China. Good investment for playing, money, and a lot of other things.

But this does bring a question. Once his contract is up, Marbury will be 36 or 37 years old. With this, I don’t know if he will ...
