Report: Phoenix Suns to Get Wesley Johnson in Three-Way Trade

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports has reported that the Phoenix Suns, Minnesota Timberwolves and New Orleans Hornets will partake in a three-way trade that will send C Robin Lopez to New Orleans and SG Wesley Johnson to Phoenix.

Here are the known aspects of the trade:

Phoenix trades: C Robin Lopez and PF Hakim Warrick to New Orleans

Minnesota trades: SG Wesley Johnson and a first round draft pick to Phoenix

Lopez would be acquired via sign and trade, and the terms of his deal are currently unknown. Also, the players and/or draft picks the Timberwolves will get are unknown.

 

What each team gets in this trade

The Phoenix Suns seem like the real winner of this trade, as they get a first rounder and a shooting guard in Wesley Johnson that they desperately needed. The biggest coup is only giving up Lopez, who could not come to terms with Phoenix anyways, and Warrick, who was not getting much playing time.

The New Orleans Hornets also seem to have gotten a good deal, as they desperately needed frontcourt depth.
