Ray Allen and the Most Efficient Scorers Per Shot Taken in NBA History

Out of the 58 players who have ever averaged 20 points per game or more for their career; 21 of them stand out because of their efficiency at scoring per shot taken. These 21 guys are the cream of the NBA crop at making each shot count.

This list is of the guys who averaged over 20 ppg AND at least 0.940 points made per shot taken for their career.

As an example, if a guy takes 20 shots (includes threes) and 5 free throws, that is 25 shots taken. Say the guy scored 25 points - he is at 1.0 points per shot.

Only three players in NBA history have done that. So I went with over .940 and these are the 21 guys.

Some players missed the list, such as Kobe Bryant (too many shots taken with a low fg%) and Wilt who made only 50% of his free throws, and Shaq for the same reason. Iverson missed because of his low fg% and Baylor missed too. In fact, 37 of the top 58 scorers ever were not efficient enough for this list.
