Ranking the Season’s Most Thrilling NBA Teams

Johnson says this at a time when the Lakers are actually quite compelling. That fits the pattern of, "Go West if you like entertaining hoops." There is a correlation between good teams and exciting teams. Connected to that correlation, is a correlation between good teams and Western Conference squads. 

Of the top five most exciting NBA franchises, we're only naming one from the lesser conference. Somehow, the conference that produces likely playoff teams like the Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks and Chicago Bulls has an entertainment deficit. Who could have thunk it?

Anyway, out West we're seeing some of the best basketball in quite some time. As I type, five Western Conference teams are on pace for 55-win seasons. That, my friends, is some well-distributed quality.
