Rajon Rondo Steals the Ball and Then Turns It Over, Hawks Escape with Victory

The Atlanta Hawks won Game 5 in Atlanta to force a Game 6 in Boston. They won Game 5 in perhaps the most Atlanta Hawks type way possible, squeaking out the 87-86 victory.

Up one with 10 seconds on the clock, the Hawks needed only to inbound the ball and close out the game. Rajon Rondo had something different in mind as he swooped in to steal the inbound pass, looking to set up the Celtics for a final shot attempt.

Fortunately for Hawks fans, the defense and size of Josh Smith and Al Horford was too much for Rondo who ended up dribbling the ball off of his foot as time expired.

What a way to win a ballgame and extend a series.

In addition to his defense on Rondo, Horford put in a fantastic performance for the Hawks, finishing with 19 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, three steals and three blocked shots in 41 minutes of action.

If the Hawks would like to force a Game 7 in Boston, they will need Horford to put in another strong effort in Game 6.
