It’s the question that still doesn’t have an answer: Where is Dwight Howard going next season? Once he gets there, will he be staying?

NBA featured columnist Joel C. Cordes and NBA assistant editor Ethan Norof break down where Dwight will be playing next season, along with where he should wind up long-term.

Moving him via trade is going to be difficult as long as Howard’s price tag is high and his re-signing certainty is low. Yet, waiting until 2013 free agency just prolongs the "Dwightmare" agony.

The Orlando Magic can’t possibly want Howard back in their uniform next year. The franchise, the city and his Magic teammates are done with the soap opera, the waiting and the uncertainty.

Teams like the Houston Rockets mortgaged their future for a shot at Howard. The Brooklyn Nets put their plans on hold for D12, only to eventually grow impatient with the Magic.

Orlando GM Rob Hennigan has gone nearly an entire offseason without finding a trade package that he really likes. The situation seems at an impasse, even as a resolution is necessary for every single party involved.
