Predicting Team USA’s 2010 12-Man Roster: The Bigs

Author’s Note: This is the third and final part of a three part series about my predictions for team USA’s final 12 man roster for the 2010 FIBA World Championships. This piece will feature my predictions for the big men of the team. Heading into the FIBA World Championships, team USA is shorthanded when it comes to big men. The team’s top big man Amar’e Stoudemire, who was thought to be a focal point of the team, won’t play for team USA this season due to contract insurance issues. Due to Stoudemire being a no show, the team brought in Javale McGee as a last minute replacement. The redeem team didn’t put much emphasis on big men as they only had one true center on the roster in Dwight Howard, a rotation big in Chris Bosh, and Carlos Boozer who made a minimal impact on the team. With the squad I have assembled so far, I think the big men who will be featured will have a bigger role on the team. Begin Slideshow
