Carmelo Anthony dumped in 45 points and Amar'e Stoudemire played his first game of the season, but that wasn't enough to keep the Knicks (21-10) from falling, 105-100, to the Portland Trail Blazers (16-10) on Tuesday night in New York.
The Knicks, who are still playing without point guard Raymond Felton, struggled offensively early in this game. They trailed 30-23 at the end of the first and then 58-47 at half. They played much better in the second half, but at that point it was too little too late, and the Knicks have now lost three of their last four.
As for Stoudemire, he played just 17 minutes while trying to come back from knee surgery. He had six points on 3-of-8 shooting.

Player of the Game: Nicolas Batum
Batum led the Blazers with 26 points, and he didn't limit his contributions to just scoring. Batum dished out six assists, grabbed four boards, and he added a steal for good measure.
