Clippers 115, Trail Blazers 95—Final

The Los Angeles Clippers used a 65-point second half to smack the Portland Trail Blazers 115-95 on Sunday at Staples Center.

Behind a 28-point, 11-assist effort from Chris Paul, Los Angeles took a 1-0 advantage in the first-round Western Conference series. The Clippers shot 53.8 percent from the field and held Portland to 39.8.

Blake Griffin registered 19 points, 12 rebounds and six assists, while DeAndre Jordan added 18 points, 12 boards and four blocks. J.J. Redick chipped in 17 points for Los Angeles.

The Blazers stuck around for a majority of the first half, but they allowed a 10-2 run to close the second quarter and 15-6 to open the third frame.

Damian Lillard paced Portland with 21 points and eight assists, but C.J. McCollum was a meager 3-of-11 from the field and managed just nine points on the night.
