Portland Trail Blazers: Size Matters, Right?

After all, we are talking about basketball.  If size is what measures a teams success in this league, the Blazers should be in the Top 7 of the NBA, easily.

There are only 6 teams I can think of that have around or more height then Portland, those being:  Lakers, Dallas, San Antonio, Orlando, Chicago, and Boston.

So why doesn't Portland get the respect they deserve? 

Short answer:  Injuries

The 2009-10 season, Portland finished with an impressive 50 win record, securing the number six seed in the ultra competitive Western Conference.

Portland played a good series stealing game one in Phoenix against the Suns, but losing games two and three, really hurt the team.  They proceeded to win game four, evening up the series, and just when there seemed to be hope, the Suns took game five in a dominating fashion, and beat the Blazers in game six by seven points thus earning them a first round defeat.

Some things to factor in to the loss, Brandon Roy didn't play the first three games, and was fresh off a knee surgery and his stats proved it. Greg Oden didn't suit up, nor has since December 5th, d ...
