Portland Trail Blazers Ranked Fifth in West By ESPN: Should They Be Higher?

A couple of days ago, ESPN and their analysts put out their predictions for the 2010-2011 NBA season. They put the Lakers at No. 1, Thunder at No. 2, Mavericks at No. 3, Nuggets at No. 4, and the Blazers at No. 5.

They also set the Blazers to go 49-33 next season.

I do not agree with what they said at all for a few reasons.

One reason is because they are way better then a 49-33 team!

Last season, they went 50-32. But if you go behind the scenes, you will see they should have won many more games!

They had great expectations last season. In 2008-2009, they were the fourth seed in the West, and they were going to be even better in 2009-2010.

Their projected lineup was...

PG: Andre Miller

SG: Brandon Roy

SF: Nicolas Batum

PF: Lamarcus Aldridge

C: Greg Oden
