It appears that a weird injury has just happened the other day to Indiana Pacers’ soon-to-be sophomore point guard, A.J. Price.

He will have surgery on his knee.

Yes, obviously, he will have knee surgery. But what makes this injury so weird?

It happened at a charity basketball game in New York. Yes, that’s what makes it weird, folks.

Now you got your answer, haven’t you?

“I was making a move to the basket and it happened,” Price said. “It’s something with my kneecap. I’m going to be out a few months.”

This may not be good for Price, because he has a $762,000 contract next season that is not guaranteed.

Price, who was drafted in the second round of last year’s NBA Draft, played pretty well. He averaged 7.3 PPG, 1.9 APG, and 1.6 RPG over the season.

He played for most of the second half of the season.

He had two starts in the 56 games he played in.

Price is playing alongside Earl Watson and T.J. Ford. It has been reported by the Indianapolis Star, though, that Ford might be traded.
