The Phoenix Suns shocked the Chicago Bulls with a 97-81 victory at the United Center.

This victory is the 2,000th win in franchise history, making Phoenix the fourth-fastest team to that plateau in NBA history, according to Arizona Sports 620 (via Twitter).

Phoenix had the hot hand, shooting 42.9 percent from behind the arc and nearly 50 percent from the field for the evening.

Chicago didn't fare so well in its shooting. The Bulls managed just an 18.2 percent mark from behind the three-point line and just 36.4 percent from the field overall.

Suns forward Luis Scola led all scorers with 22 points. Center Marcin Gortat added eight points and a team-high 10 boards for Phoenix.

Carlos Boozer led all Bulls' scorers with just 15 points, although five Bulls ended in double-figures. Joakim Noah added a team-high 13 rebounds.

The biggest surprise of this one was Phoenix's success on the road. The team was 11-26 overall heading into this contest and just 1-17 on the road.

In fact, they lost 12 straight games on the road, having not won such a game since Nov. 27.
