Phoenix Suns Trade Leandro Barbosa to Raptors for Hedo Turkoglu

Paul Coro of the Arizona Republic is reporting that the Suns are trading Leandro Barbosa for Raptors forward Hedo Turkoglu.

It was reported almost a week ago that the Suns were willing to dish Barbosa out for the right price.

Currently, it appears as though the Suns have found the right price.

The Suns are also scheduled to acquire former Atlanta Hawk, Josh Childress. There have been no reports thus far about what Atlanta will receive in return.

Turkoglu will likely start at power forward for the Suns once the deal is finalized.

Hakim Warrick is expected to be a major contributor off the bench for Phoenix while Barbosa will likely become Toronto's starting shooting guard.

Turkoglu struggled all year long with the Raptors last season. He only managed to average 11.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per contest.

Don't write this off as a bad trade because Hedo had one down year.

He is still a very talented player that can nail three-pointers whenever he gets an open look on the wing.
