The Chicago Bulls completed a back-to-back on Saturday by hosting the Philadelphia 76ers, and it was no cakewalk on Benny the Bull's birthday. With the margin mostly in the single digits, Chicago held on for the 91-81 win and delivered the Sixers a 24th consecutive loss.
Philadelphia now has sole control of the second-longest losing streak in NBA history. The longest was 26 games by the 2010-11 Cleveland Cavaliers.
Thaddeus Young scored a game-high 28 points, but he hit just 10 of his 26 shots. Henry Sims was sublime in the middle with 18 points, 15 rebounds (nine of them offensive) and a pair of blocks. Michael Carter-Williams scored seven points on 14 field-goal attempts, and the team shot below 35 percent from the field.
Joakim Noah powered the Bulls with 20 points, eight boards, four assists and three blocks. Jimmy Butler scored 17 points on just eight shots, and tallied eight rebounds with six assists. D.J. Augustin and Taj Gibson contributed 16 points apiece off the bench.
